The high power beam
electron guns deliver high intensity electron beams in the range 1 to 20 mA with variable
energy and focus size. Beam powers up to 600 W and beam current densities up to several
kW/ cm2
are achievable. The design is UHV compatible and is equipped with high current cathodes.
The beam can be pulsed to produce sharp power pulses in the microsecond range. Applications are, for example, sample annealing, heat treatment, evaporation, heat chocks and luminescence studies. |
